Born to a Puerto Rican family in Brooklyn, NY, Jessica’s life began almost as promptly as her gastronomic interests.
From the endless fruit & vegetable-picking in the farms of Long Island; the seducing, authentic Puerto Rican dishes her parents so expertly crafted, to the irresistible influence of cooking shows on TV, it was love at first sight and bite.
After a few “wonder-food” years, she decided to prosecute her passion at a higher level, attaining an Associate Degree from Le Cordon Bleu and a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. During those years of schooling, she gained experience working in catering and restaurants, meeting the flavors of Latin, Asian, Indian, Italian, Fusion and Caribbean Cuisines.
With her freshly-picked knowledge and a passion carried since childhood, she set to work and created “Casada Spice Blends” …
